howdy!

I am Jill Honeycutt, a graphic designer by trade and an educator by heart. I am an Instructional Associate Professor at Texas A&M University — whoop!

I received my Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Visual Communication from Texas A&M University-Commerce. I joined the Texas A&M University faculty full-time in 2016. With 12+ years of experience in branding and design methodologies, I bring extensive knowledge based on tactile problem solving, specifically in design education. With outstanding performance reviews throughout my career at TAMU, I apply my tactile problem-solving to engage students in critical design thinking. I am the faculty advisor for the AIGA (The Professional Association for Design) Student Chapter at Texas A&M University. I continue to work in progressive 2D design in the industry.

I have also started exploring design in a new (old) medium — letterpress. I enjoy the process of setting type by hand and hearing the purr of the 100-year-old press. I am currently pulling prints on a 1918 Chandler & Price Platen Press.

On a personal note, I love iced coffee, making lists, & ampersands. My cool husband is a web developer and works full-time at Drift. He teaches web development at TAMU, too. We have the cutest little dude named Archer, the sweetest little sister named Rowen, and an okay cat named Tillie. We live in Bryan, Texas, and watch a decent amount of the Great British Baking Show.
